This morning these beautiful flowers surprised me when I went to walk at east coast park, Singapore
A paper lantern created from a juice carton. I enjoyed doing this....total creation from waste!
This is how my lantern looked after I lit a candle.
I used a recently bought linoleum sheet for carving. This one is so smooth like butter... cannot wait to use this material more..
Yes! I finally used that linoleum sheet bought at Art Friend, Singapore. This one is really tough material and my hands are paining. I might not want to use this material again.
I have a scrapbook page in my mind featuring my son riding the bicycle for the first time. I was thinking of using this stamp - but might not as it appears to be too big for the page(?) I'm yet to set the layout. May be I'll carve a cute bicycle eraser stamp instead of this one to add that special touch..
Carrot halwa is a famous Indian sweet made from carrot and sugar - not to mention the generous amounts of ghee, milk and cashew.
Ingredients:
1 measure grated carrot
1 measure sugar
2-3 spoons of ghee
Milk - required just about to cook carrot
6 - 10 cashewnuts
Method:
Cook the grated carrot in a vessel along with milk. The milk should immerse the carrot and must be just enough to cook the carrots. (Don't worry if the quantity of milk is more - continue cooking). This will take about 15 to 25 mins depending on the kind of carrots. once the carrot is cooked, add the measured amount of sugar and stir the dish. Add 1 or 2 spoons of ghee and continue cooking till the dish becomes almost dry.
Transfer the dish into a serving bowl and decorate the cashewnuts (which is roasted to a mild pink color in ghee). Don't forget to relish!
